A desktop computer, also known as 'personal computer' ('PC'), is prin-cipally intended for stand-alone use by an individual. These are the most common type of micro computers. These micro computers typically consist of a system unit, a display monitor, a keyboard, internal hard disk storage and other peripheral devices. It is to be noted that they are not very expensive for the individuals or the small businesses. Some of the major personal computer manufacturers are APPLE, IBM, Dell and Hewlett-Packard.
