Arjunlal Sethi
"Main rajya ki naukari dekhoonga to angrejon ko bhaarat se kaun nikaalega?"

⬧ Arjunlal Sethi, a famous freedom fighter and revolutionary of the freedom movement in Rajasthan, was born on September 9, 1880 in a Jain family in Jaipur.
⬧ Sethi established a school named 'Vardhman Pathshala' in Jaipur in the year 1907 where revolutionaries were trained. Sethi established 'Jain Shiksha Pracharak Samiti' in Jaipur in the year 1905 AD and under his auspices ran 'Vardhman Vidyalaya', 'Vardhman Hostel' and 'Vardhman Library', which were the training centers of revolutionaries.
⬧ Sethi prepared the youth for future revolution in the country. Revolutionaries like Zorawar Singh, Pratap Singh, Manikchandra, Motichand, Vishnudutt etc. were associated with his school. Sethi was associated with Harding bomb case, Ara massacre, Kakori action.
⬧ He had close contacts with Pratap Singh Barhath, Rasbihari Bose, Shachindra Nath Sanyal and Amirchand. When the armed revolution was planned by Rasbihari Bose in the year 1915, Sethiji was entrusted with the task of collecting funds.
⬧ Sethi was arrested and sent to Belur Jail in Nimez murder case.
⬧ Seven years later in 1920 he was released. When he was released from jail, Bal Gangadhar Tilak welcomed him.
⬧ He participated in the non-cooperation movement in Ajmer in the year 1920-1921. Sethi spent the rest of his life in establishing Hindu-Muslim unity.
⬧ While living in Ajmer, he wrote books like 'Shudra Mukti', 'Stree Mukti', 'Mahendra Kumar' etc.
⬧ He died on December 23, 1941 in Ajmer.
