Sir Syed Ahmed Khan
• Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was born on October 17, 1817 in the Syed Gharana of Delhi.
• His father Syed Muttaqi was an advisor to Muhammad Shah Akbar.
• Sir Syed got his first job as Naib Munshi in the court of Agra.
• Syed was awarded the title of 'Sir' by the British Government.
• He established the Scientific Society in Ghazipur.
• In 1870 AD, he started the publication of 'Tahzibul Akhlaq'.
• The aim of the Scientific Society was to translate books written in western languages into Urdu and the aim of publication of 'Tahzibul Akhlaq' was to enhance the talent of common Muslims.
• Sir Syed had given a new direction to the Aligarh movement.
• His works include 'Aasarus Sanadeed', 'Asbabe Bagavte Hind', Khutbate Ahmadiyya ',' Tafseerul Quran ',' Tarikhe Sarkashi Bijnor 'etc.
• Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, the propounder of a great educational movement, died on March 27, 1898.
