Malhar Rao Holkar
⬧ Malhar Rao Holkar was born on March 16, 1693 in Pune district of Maharashtra.
⬧ Malhar Rao Holkar was such a feudatory of the Maratha Empire who was the first Maratha subedar of Malwa along with being supremely mighty and proficient in war skills.
⬧ He was the first prince of the Holkar dynasty, who ruled Indore. Malhar Rao's name is mainly prominent among the dedicated Hindu officers who spread the Maratha Empire towards the north.
⬧ He had made Peshwa Bajirao I victorious in many wars.
⬧ He was initially in the service of Peshwa Baji Rao I (1720-1740 AD).
⬧ Malhar Rao served Peshwa Bajirao I for a long time and also participated in many victory campaigns.
⬧ Bajirao I gave him a large area of central India to rule as a result of his devotion to his lord.
⬧ In the year 1948, his state was merged with the Republic of India.
⬧ Malhar Rao Holkar died on May 20, 1766.
